Peanut Butter Cookies
Remember the old fashioned Peanut Butter Cookies Grandma used to make? They were a little soft on the inside, a little crumbly on the outside dipped in sugar and marked with a fork in a criss-cross pattern. Homemade cookies are cooling on a rack in an open window, waiting to be devoured. Good memories!
Peter Pan Peanut Butter vs. Natural Peanut Butter: There are many types of peanut butter that can be used in these cookies. Peter Pan Peanut Butter, Skippy Peanut Butter, and Jif Peanut Butter are the most common and easily obtained from grocery stores. They also make sweeter cookies because of their sugar content. Did you know that the second ingredient in commercial peanut butter is corn syrup? The third ingredient is hydrogenated oil.
All natural peanut butter is made with one ingredient – Peanuts! Health-wise, it’s a better choice. However, your cookies won’t be quite as sweet because there’s no added corn syrup. They may also be a little drier than cookies made with commercial peanut butter because there’s no added hydrogenated oil. If you do choose the natural peanut butter, make sure to drain the extra oil floating on top before using.
You decide which is best for you. If you like Peanut Butter Cookies, then you’ll love this Cyclops Vapor Minotaur.
Review of Minotaur by Cyclops Vapor
Despite the similarities that the US and UK share, there are some things that don’t make it across the pond. Candies and dessert treats are a great example… You probably aren’t going to find a Baby Ruth or even a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup in England. But there aren’t too many things in this world as perfect for one another as peanut butter and caramel.
Flavor & Aroma Details:
The sweet, creamy, rich caramel blends seamlessly into the thick, salty, savory peanut butter, forming one of the greatest food pairings since butter first met popcorn…perhaps even higher than the fateful day when Oreos were introduced to milk. Despite the awesome pairing of these two, there has always been something of a disconnect when it came to the best e-juice versions. To start with, both flavors have always had some issues individually. For years, caramel e-juice tasted like artificially flavored hard candies, and while peanut butter e-juice fared somewhat better, it’s never really been spot-on.
Over the last year or so, things began to change as the flavor chemists saw vapers as a viable market and started working on ways to make these flavors perform better under the intense heat we put to them. The Caramel got richer, creamier, and more realistic as the peanut butter flavors became more defined, with a light saltiness finding it’s way into the flavor concentrates. Cyclops Vapor has taken both of the improved versions of these flavors and brought them together in one of most life-like representations of the classic combo. The peanut butter presents first, with a thick, dense, quality, and just a light salty edge that makes this flavor strike a chord with me.
The peanut flavor seems to edge out the caramel in the mix, but not by much, resulting in a flavor profile that is not a far cry from a Reese’s. While this is by far, the best PB cookie e-liquid I’ve tasted to date, it’s still not quite perfect, but that being said, it is excellent.
Commonly used as a complimentary flavor, and even more, a sweetener, caramel, all on its own, doesn’t usually make for a particularly tasty vape. It tends to be sticky, cloyingly sweet, as one might expect, but with an artificial quality that just doesn’t perform well as a standalone.
Nevertheless, the bottle was due, the lid was off, and the wick was fresh, so I dripped. Straight out of the gate, I’ll admit, I was very impressed. Just from the inhale, I could tell this was a bit closer to the real peanut butter cookie than the overwhelming majority of other cookie vapes I’ve had… and then the exhale. This is stunningly realistic, right down to the melt-in-your-mouth, sticky sweet film that the genuine article leaves behind on your tongue.
Throat hit & Vapor production:
The finish is equally impressive in that while the flavor is constant throughout the entirety of the vape, the finish leaves your tongue with that dry, prickly feeling that genuine articles usually do. With a flavor that’s so simple, there’s not much to say; it tastes like pure, lightly caramelized sugar with a hint of butter cookie. Even with the notable authenticity of both flavor and texture, I don’t think I would consider this as a viable ADV candidate for the majority of vapers out there; it was just way too sweet for me to vape for more than an hour or so at a time. It’s also important to keep this juice in the sweet spot, getting it too hot does produce a bit of an off flavor throughout the vape.
At a high and low wattage, Minotaur provides a good, although not terribly powerful, throat hit and produces an acceptable cloud of vapor.
That being said, if you keep it well within its limits, this vape liquid is a dead ringer in the flavor department. It delivers only a moderate throat hit and has an average vapor production.
